Our Story
Founded in 1999, South Shore Children's Center has grown into one of the most trusted early childhood programs on Long Island — with 5,000+ students nurtured over 25 years, 350+ children enrolled annually, and a team that has been part of the West Islip community for generations.

South Shore Children's Center of West Islip is proud to be selected by the West Islip Union Free School District as the sole host site for the district's full-day Universal Pre-Kindergarten program — funded by the New York State Education Department.
UPK provides qualifying 4-year-olds with a free, full-day pre-kindergarten experience in our nurturing, state-of-the-art facility. Placement is determined by district lottery. Contact us or your local elementary school to learn more about eligibility and registration.
